For, this egg challenge I was inspired by the phrase, “sunny-side-up” I wanted to use an egg to show the beauty of outer space. I decided I would make the egg shell a small night sky. I poked holes with a needle into the shell of an egg. Then I created a larger hole at the bottom of the egg so the shell could stand and so I could get to the insides of the egg. I then washed and dried the shell out and then placed a powered LED inside. The translucency of the egg and the small holes in the egg shell look remarkably like stars in a galaxy. I also cut part of an egg shell carton to place the egg shell on top of so the LED would not fall out. I then cooked inside of the egg sunny-side-up to represent the sun.
